Millionaire Alex Rodriguez Pays Fitting 8-Word Tribute to $2 Billion Worth Investor

By using the right words and showing his potential, Alex Rodriguez, during his playing days, got the CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffett, to become his mentor. Not only did Buffett become a mentor to A-Rod, but he also insured the biggest contract in MLB history that Alex signed. It was this moment back in 2000, and their mentor-mentee relationship has only gotten stronger with time.

Now, Alex has once again charmed yet another billionaire investor, Daniel Loeb. As A-Rod posted a picture of himself with the multi-billionaire Loeb, he wrote on his Instagram story, “One of the smartest investors in the world.” 

Loeb’s preferred strategy as an investor is to buy the companies that are struggling and turn them around toward profitability. This is what the investor calls “key to his success.” 

How did A-Rod convince Warren Buffett to become his mentor?

After signing the biggest contract in MLB history of that time, A-Rod straight up went ahead and called Buffett’s office after getting his contract insured. Then, he invited himself over to a meetup with Buffett since the two were in business.

At the moment, Warren gave him the two most important rules of investing that Alex still follows to this day. The first one was to never lose money, and the second one was to never forget rule number one. These two rules became the start of a great mentor-mentee relationship. And the rest is history.
