One can acknowledge the Philadelphia Phillies for many reasons. From their performance to their kind gestures towards fans, lots of things there’s quite a lot to be acknowledged. However, the reason they got the latest thanks is completely different from their usual deeds. While their dream run is still on, they have helped someone else fulfill his dream. Recently, the team anthem, ‘Dancing on My Own’ reached a milestone, and the singer shared his emotional message for the entire team.

British Singer and songwriter Calum Scott is overwhelmed to reach the 1 billion Spotify milestone. While he is celebrating his success, he hasn’t forgotten to thank the Phillies for selecting this song as their ‘unofficial’ team anthem. The singer expressed his heartfelt message to the team on social media.

As the glorious journey of the Phillies continues, fans have been listening and singing the team anthem ‘Dancing on My Own’ frequently. Even the clubhouse celebrations also have this song playing. With this much love, Scott’s ‘Dancing on My Own’ reached the 1 Billion streaming record on Spotify.

This is a big achievement for the song and the singer. However, the latter shared this credit with the Phillies. He expressed, “A HUGE thank you has to go to @Phillies also for making this song their anthem two years running.” 

Further continuing his point, he expressed his gratitude, “It’s an honour boys and I’m incredibly grateful to the players, the club and most importantly the fans.” Calum even thanked the original singer of the song for the remix version and fans for streaming it.

Two years back, the Phillies replaced their previous anthem, ‘Take Me Out to the Ballgame’ with Scott’s song. They have been playing the song at the ballpark, in the locker room, in every celebration. So, it has become their new anthem. This, in one sense, even proved to be a lucky charm for the team. Since the new anthem came, they are second time on their way to the World Series. However, Thursday night was not good for the Phillies.

Arizona Diamondbacks took game 3

While the NLCS run was going great for the Phillies with a 2-0 lead. It faced a pause in Game 3 as the Diamondbacks made a return with 2-1. Though both teams were scoreless till the 6th inning, the Phillies managed to break the tie in the seventh. Bryce Harper took the lead, but the opponent soon paved the way towards victory.

However, the Diamondbacks also struggled a lot to claim the victory. But in the ninth inning, Diamondbacks pitcher Paul Sewald pitched a scoreless inning to lead the team toward the win.

The series still has four games left. So, both teams will do their best to continue their journey. As the Phillies World Series run is still on, Calum Scott will probably see the streaming rate increase to another height.
