Schilling said, ?Yes, and I had it in them. 2003 winter that’s where I thought I was going to end up before I opened the door for the Sox. it’s where my wife wanted to go.? The Red Sox legend even mentioned that his wife wanted him to sign with the Yankees in 2003.

But he ended up signing with the Red Sox and the rest is history. Schilling was a key part of their 2004 World Series title win, helping break their 86-year drought. He also helped them win the World Series in 2007. But despite all of his achievements in baseball, Schilling has struggled with adversity since retiring.
