There are few names in pop culture that are as well known as that rocker Ozzy Osbourne. The former Black Sabbath singer has been a sensation since the 1970s, both as a member of the rock band and as a solo artist. Popularly known as the ‘Godfather of Metal’ because of his unusually long career, Osbourne still has loyal fans from every generation today. And he expressed his gratitude to them in a recently heartbreaking tweet.

When the heavy metal legend announced his retirement from touring, fans erupted in support and love for the veteran singer. Among them was controversial former MLB player Curt Schilling. Schilling has been in the news for his problematic takes on various happenings in the world and was infamous during his career as well. Lately, he showed his respect to Osbourne in a tweet.

To say that the English singer’s fans are dedicated would be an understatement. Fans of all ages and genders have found something special in the low tenor of his voice. And among those is Curt Schilling. The retired athlete replied to Osbourne’s tweet and said, “…i bet your fans, i knowni would, would pay to see you perform via satellite from a remote location if ypu ever physically felt like you could.”

The former ace seemed to be in a hurry to get his reply in as his message was riddled with misspellings. Whatever his reasons, Schilling seems to be a big fan of the Paranoid singer and respects the man for his talent. Even though Osbourne says his body is simply unsupportive of his dreams, fans are willing to watch him sing in any way possible.

People had been waiting to see Osbourne in concert for four years

The 74-year-old singer was initially set to perform on a tour in 2019. But after a spinal injury, he postponed the tour for a time. However, instead of news about recovery, Osbourne announced a Parkinson’s disease diagnosis in January 2020 and Covid-19 in April 2022.

In his message, the singer seemed regretful at ending his touring journey in this manner. And added that he was??honestly humbled by the way you?ve all patiently held onto your tickets for all this time.?
