Players are not the only ones responsible for something crazy happening on the field. Sometimes, it’s the managers of the teams as well. Last night’s game of LA Angels & Cleveland Guardians had multiple things happen on the Progressive field. One of them was the home run by Mike Trout, that made a record.

Another one was that both the managers, Terry Francona and Phil Nevin, got themselves ejected from the game. Out of the two skippers, Terry ‘Tito’ Francona looked the most fierce of them and was furious at the umpires.
What made Terry Francona so outraged by the umpires?
The game went smoothly till the seventh inning started. Andrés Giménez of Cleveland was on the plate, and Angels’ pitcher Ryan Tepera threw a pitch, which seemed to have hurt Giménez on the foot. He pointed his foot out, but the home plate umpire, Ron Kulpa, did not rule it hit by pitch.
Folks, we’ve just witnessed both managers getting tossed on the same play. I can’t recall ever seeing that before. Tito was about to kill somebody out there. pic.twitter.com/d1NzoqT9E3

And since Cleveland did not call for a review in time, they could not challenge it.
Then came the furious Terry Francona shouting and calling names to Kulpa. He looked so angry that at one point, he had to be restrained by bench coach DeMarlo Hale and first base umpire John Tumpane.
This may be the hottest I’ve ever seen Tito. I’m sure he’s been more pissed off before, but it’s been a while since we’ve seen the quadruple “Fuck you” in game action. pic.twitter.com/ZdWx6K8VUG

Eventually, he got ejected from the game.
Then came Phil Nevin, interim manager of the Angels, on the field to talk to Kulpa, after, he refused the pitcher, Tepera got prevented from throwing a warmup pitch.
Thereafter, Phil Nevin also got ejected from the game. And it became one of those rare times when both the managers got themselves ejected from the game.
Other than the ejections of Phil and Francona, what else happened in the game last night?
Last night became the spectator of a seventh home run of the Angels’ star player Mike Trout in consecutive games.

With that seventh homer, he tied up with many elites. And now, he is just one home run away to tie up with the legend Don Mattingly’s record of 8.
