Hope is the driving force in anyone’s life – any situation can get better with just a little faith. The latest Cubs press conference witnessed a similar situation. While the team?s current stats are not very impressive, the new manager has improvement plans. ?This is right, man, this is the right thing going on here, and this is something that is very special. So, that?s been a big part for me.?

Stating further his views on his new team, Craig Counsell told the media, ?From a baseball standpoint, you know, I saw quickly that the organization is just in great health, and that presented a very compelling vision of that. It’s time to be a cub.? However, he didn?t open up about the exact ideas or what he has been planning for this offseason. What he did talk about was a ?really exciting future ahead of us.?

The Chicago-based team has not been linked to any player or speculated to chase any potent free agent so far this winter. Still, the 56 skipper of the team is hopeful about his duty to take the club to the next level. As he prepares for the love that Chicago will likely shower on him, Counsell did not expect this level of his former city’s fury.
