The former Padres star won 14/9 this season, posting an ERA of 2.25, allowing hits that reached just 5.8 per nine. No wonder he won the NL Cy Young for a second time. Considering the state of their current pitching rotation, it is high time that the New York Yankees start thinking about an upgrade.

The Bronx’s starting pitching rotation has Gerrit Cole, the AL Cy Young winner who is all set to show off his pitching skills again in 2024. Other than him, there are only a few: Carlos Rodon, Nestor Cortes, and Clarke Schmidt. None of them are dependable because of their history of injuries and bad forms. Cue Blake Snell.
