Seager has been great for the Rangers this year, after signing a mammoth $325 deal with them in December 2021. He was looking to lead the Texas-based team to the postseason for the first time since 2016.

The Rangers will have a steep hill to climb

As Corey Seager misses at least a month, the Texas Rangers will struggle to compete in the AL West. Both the Los Angeles Angels and the Houston Astros will be breathing down their necks and are likely to overtake them during the time that Seager is out. It will be interesting to see how the Rangers make up for the lost firepower.
