This win keeps the Arizona-based team first in the NL West with the Los Angeles Dodgers hot on their tail. Carroll has been in some truly great form, earning an All-Star nod for his play thus far. His recent injury could have derailed what has been a rookie season for the ages.

Carroll has been cleared of a serious injury

Corbin Carroll has been cleared to play after he tweaked his shoulder. This injury happened during an at-bat against the New York Mets during a 9-0 loss. He underwent an MRI, which came back clean, and he has since been allowed to play. This is a massive relief considering that he had surgery on that same shoulder in 2021. The Diamondbacks will look to keep their star rookie in his best shape and avoid serious injuries. He looks set to continue his regular play and will more likely than not appear in the All-Star game as well.
