Family holds great importance in every kid’s chasing their dreams. Without parent’s support, children can’t flourish and develop their skills to chase the goal they dreamt about. Earlier this year, an Arizona Diamondbacks rookie outfielder reminded everyone of this fact. As the MLB season began and the D-backs rookie outfielder played his first home game, he gave all the credit to his parents. He pointed out the sacrifices his parents made for him to fulfill his dreams. This greatly touched the fans’ hearts, prompting them to share his words before the NLCS fight against the Philadelphia Phillies.

The Diamondbacks are on their way to the World Series this year. So, there’s a valid reason for fans getting emotional. After 16 years, the team has qualified for an NLCS fight. As the fight comes near, fans remember the rookie outfielder’s heart-touching statement about parents’ role.

The home opener game of the D-backs is almost like a child’s first day in school for Corbin Carroll. Like a kid, his parents came to drop him off at the ballpark. The player even had a backpack with him. This could have ended here, but the 23-year-old rookie player took it further and, during the post-game interview, gave all the credit to his parents. He expressed, “They’re?really special people. I’m reminded constantly by people that meet them and [say] ‘wow you are really lucky, really fortunate growing up.’ That’s definitely how I feel- grateful, to have parents who supported me in whatever I wanted to do.”

The rookie’s parents did everything they could to help him pursue his baseball career, even though they weren’t fans of the game. They didn’t care about their weekends for his tournaments, and even his dad used to play with him on Queen Anne Hill. They did everything possible to support his dream. The emotional player stated, “Whatever it was, they were always sacrificing their time and resources to help me achieve this dream.” Despite months have passed since these words, D-back fans still remember these words.

The Arizona Diamondbacks will appear for the toughest fight with The Philadelphia Phillies on October 17th. So, fans once again remind themselves of Carroll’s kind, heart-touching words. However, Carroll is not the only one with supportive parents. Boston Red Sox’s James Paxton also once revealed about his mother.

A few years back, James Paxton uttered the exact words as Carroll. He said his mother, Barbara Paxton, as his most significant support who “always drive me to practice or come watch when my dad and I used to play catch in the back park.” Per the player, his mother always encouraged him and supported him through ups and downs. Despite not being a baseball fan, she developed her interest in baseball for her son.
