Barry Bonds has always been surrounded by controversies and disputes from the beginning of his career. Numerous scandals and rumors have affected his career and image. What was more challenging for him was to be alone in those situations without a friend telling him not to worry.
In 2015, Bonds sat in an interview with Joe Fonzi’s show “Sit down interview with Barry Bonds,” opening his mind and telling him about his biggest regrets. After some casual chatting, the host asked whether the 7xMVP had regrets in his life, and in reply, the legend said, “I think, I wish, I could have done some things different, not everything, never my playing part, I feel like I should have done differently.”
The 14X All-Star has nothing to regret about his playing or achievements, but when he looks back, he sometimes thinks he could have handled the locker room issues more leniently. He could be more humble with his teammates, as he mentioned, “Okay guys, let’s go over here, create some space, had a little bit more fun with it.”
However, his angry attitude has made him a loner, with no one to side with him. Neither his teammates nor his rivals like him as a person. However, the legend never really cared for it.
