The acting profession has existed for as long as humanity has existed. Storytelling is as essential as breathing to many, as the current film industry will tell one. But actors only exist with writers, and each profession deserves equal respect. With many big names joining the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike, Vanessa Hudgens is among the latest to add her name.
The High School Musical actress, engaged to Colorado Rockies shortstop Cole Tucker, is a household name in Hollywood. The Hollywood writers’ strike has been gaining momentum since mid-July, demanding fairer pay and better working conditions. With A-listers from across the industry joining the cause, Hudgens also lent her support with her water brand.

Writers for the Screen Actors Guild have been protesting against the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP) since July 14. The two parties failed to reach a negotiation for better wages, as well as the use of artificial intelligence in the industry. The protests have reached a humongous scale, with numerous big names joining the picket line.
Even the Oppenheimer cast recently walked out of the film’s London premiere in support. Now, Vanessa Hudgens is joining the cause, and she comes bearing gifts. The Tick, Tick…Boom actress has been promoting her cactus water brand, Caliwater, which was the perfect solution for this July heat.
