Although Bellinger didn’t reveal his thoughts on links with the Yankees then, he has now seemingly revealed his true thoughts. According to a tweet by Fireside Yankees, Bellinger was extremely keen on joining the Bronx-based team.

In the video, Fireside Yankees explains that when a fan interacted with Bellinger, he said that the team hadn’t contacted him but he wished they had. This is a massive revelation because the star outfielder has not openly spoken about his desired free-agency destination.
Unfortunately, the Bombers have now acquired Juan Soto and Alex Verdugo via trade, filling their outfield. It seems that Bellinger’s agent Scott Boras prefers a Cubs reunion now. Only time will tell where the former MVP goes. But playing in the Bronx would have been special for his family.
