Umpires have a crucial role to play in the game of baseball. Sometimes their decisions bring controversies and raise the eyebrows of everyone involved in the game. Something similar happened during the MLB contest between the San Francisco Giants and the Arizona Diamondbacks. Christian Walker from the Diamondbacks was on the receiving end this time.
It happened when the play was in full flow, and both teams were equal on the scoreboard. During one of the pitching, the umpire made a call. Walker reacted, but the concerned umpire didn’t like it, and they gave the outfielder the marching orders! What exactly was the case? Let’s understand!

The players always react to the umpire’s decisions. Walker did the same and clapped to one of such decisions while his teammate was at bat, but his action got him in trouble. Talkin Baseball shared a clip of the incident on their Twitter account with the caption, “Christian Walker was ejected for clapping after the umpire made a correct call.”

The announcers were heard discussing the issue, “Three games in the Miami series Didn’t go that time either. Didn’t offer and it’s three in one. Alfonso Marquez, the appeal to first base from Ramon De Jesus, said no. Christian Walker can’t believe it. Here comes Jeff Banister for an explanation. I think Alfonso Marquez overruled the no-swing call at first.”
Meanwhile, the D-Backs had the last laugh amid this controversy. The D-Backs defeated the Giants with a score of 7-5 to put the series at level. It can be said that the umpire howler, during the game, charged the players as they made sure that their team win.
