Derek Jeter has been a force on the baseball diamond and changed the course of the New York Yankees’ history forever. But his contributions off the field have been worth noting too. Jeter established his nonprofit, the Turn 2 Foundation, in 1996 as a way to help kids ‘turn to’ healthy lifestyles. In fact, it’s currently holding one of the most iconic events that the foundation has seen with some special guests this year. One of them includes actor and comedian Chris Tucker, who recreated an iconic moment from his popular Rush Hour movies.

The moment was shared by the former ballplayer’s sister, Sharlee, who heads the company in the role of President. The siblings work closely together and they’ve certainly worked hard to make this event a success.

Rush Hour‘s Chris Tucker lights up the dance floor at Derek Jeter’s party

If someone has not split their sides with laughter watching the performance of Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan in the Rush Hour franchise, take this as a sign. Tucker’s character as LAPD detective James Carter has won over many hearts, and now Tucker continues his career as a comedian. But another talent that the 51-year-old has is dancing.

Interestingly, Tucker was great friends with the late singer and dancer Michael Jackson. In fact, the actor even appeared in a video with the King of Pop and may have learned a thing or two from him. Sharlee Jeter shared a story of Tucker busting some moves on the dance floor in the Bahamas. She captioned it, “When @christucker hits the dance floor!” Guess what song was playing in the background?

That’s right, Michael Jackson’s ‘Don’t Stop Till You Get Enough’! The comedian sang and danced to the same song in Rush Hour 2, so it was a beautiful recreation.

Tucker is quite the sportsperson

Since the actor is attending the welcome party, he’ll likely play golf at the Celebrity Invitational. Notably, Tucker also holds his own golf tournament annually to raise funds for supporting children and education in Atlanta.
