The Yankees had a great first half of this year’s regular season. But as the second half started, at one point, the Yankees making it to the postseason seemed impossible. And somehow, the team managed to turn it around in their favor. They not only grabbed the postseason berth but also won their league. Unfortunately, they could not get to the World Series, but the Astros did. So kudos and big congratulations to the Houston Astros for a great play.

Something else happened at the ballpark that could have turned into something drastic. It led the fans to mock the Yanks for their subpar play during the postseason while making fun of the General Manager, Brian Cashman, and the owner of the team, Hal Steinbrenner.

What led to the chaos at the Yankee Stadium?

A grease fire took place in the kitchen, and it led to absolute chaos, with everybody running around somewhere to try and save themselves. Although, in the end, nobody was hurt, the fans took this moment in the kitchen to resemble the Yankees game this year.

Not only the team was mocked, but the GM, the owner, the manager, and even the ballpark came in between all the mocking. Though this kind of behavior from the fans was not expected, albeit, it was understandable as they had a lot of expectations from their team.

Even the team did not want to lose out of the postseason at least like this. But unfortunately, they fell short. The Astros proved that they were better than the Yanks this time, but there’s always next time for the Yankees to prove themselves.

How are the fans reacting?

In the meanwhile, many fans took to social media and shared barrage of reactions to the incident. Let’s have a look at some of them-

A fan tried to take a dig at the Owner via hotdogs.

Another fan questioned the organisation.

While a fan tried to accuse Boone’d motive toward the game.

Hal and chicken buckets have a great connection and the fan didn’t shied away from taking a shot at Hal.

Why bring the Stadium in between?
