As the NBA playoffs come closer, the Minnesota Timberwolves continue to fight for their spot in the top ten of the Western Conference. Standing beside the team as their support system for almost every game is their owner, Alex Rodriguez. Last evening, the $350 million worth Alex Rodriguez met with on-road Timberwolves at the iconic Barclays Center in Brooklyn, and his presence worked like a good luck charm for the Wolves, who managed to break their three-game losing streak and beat the Nets by five points.
But that’s not all that stood out from the game.
The former Yankees superstar reunited with his teammate from the 2009 World Championship victory, CC Sabathia as the Nets took on the Wolves at home. However, A-Rod made sure to assert his allegiance to the Timberwolves, despite sitting in New York, next to his teammate from the Bronx.

Two Yankee legends – Alex Rodriguez and CC Sabathia reunite in Brooklyn
CC Sabathia, who’s very close friends with Derek Jeter, had only recently visited his old home, Yankee Stadium, to watch the Pinstripes take on the Phillies. Following the Yankee dominance at the Bronx, the 2007 Cy Young award winner headed to Barclays Center and reunited with A-Rod. The 696-homer man, who’s now a business magnate, reached his Instagram with a picture of the two Yankee ring holders from 2009.

Notably, the Timberwolves beat the Nets 107-102 in their third-last league game, and continue to climb up the Western Conference ladder.
