The New York Yankees have a glorious history with many unique traditions. While the team has traditionally enforced a strict clean-shave rule for all players to adhere to, a recent alteration allows a few exceptions, prompting fans to question their perception of the team. 

Lately, after signing a sponsorship deal with Starr Insurance, Yankees broke the tradition of no sponsors on the jersey. It was already in the headlines, and now Carlos Rodon’s wife has added another direction to it with her reaction.

The New York Yankees have kept their jerseys clean from the sponsorship. But the scene has changed after their latest move deal with Starr Insurance. The Pinstripes will now have the company’s patch on the sleeves. They shared the statement, “Our home and away uniforms with the Starr Insurance patch.” 

Ashley Rodon retweeted the Yankees post, with the caption,” Soooo about the beards…jkjk” The post seemingly pointed towards the Yankees’ clean shave policy. Fans had an eye over the entire episode. They couldn’t help but react to it. 

Many of them aligned with her thoughts and called it a big win. Though few had some variations too.

Some even pointed to Rodon’s wife as a winner.

However, some fans’ reactions showcased variations.

This entire episode gave some moments to the fans something to cheer about. Given the season Pinstripes have had, it would hope for a change in the performances. It would also be a test for Carlos Rodon, who will have a huge role to play since returning from the injury.

A tough test awaits Rodon in the season

Carlos Rodon signed for the Yankees ahead of the 2023 season on a $162 million six-year contract. But could not play a single game given his injury. His absence put the Yankees’ plans to a test and frustrated the fans with Rodon. However, the situation has changed with his comeback.

He had his first start to the season just before the all-star break. It was a tough outing for him, but given the last season Rodon had, he would repeat the same in the second half. In 31 games, Rodon recorded 14 wins and 8 losses. He claimed 237 strikeouts at a WHIP of 1.028.
