Rodon has faced a chronic back issue since spring training. The Yanks took multiple opinions on the injury amidst the delay of his first appearance. But it seems the situation has improved. According to MLB reporter Greg Joyce, Rodon is flying to New York to continue his rehab.
Joyce shared on his Twitter account, ” Carlos Rodon is flying to NY today to continue his rehab with the Yankees, per Boone. Rodon threw from 120 feet yesterday, and “everything went well.” They wanted Rodon with them & hope they get to a point in the next several days where they start talking about getting off a mound.”

This is great news for Rodon and the Yankees. Notably, Rodon had a great season last year for the San Francisco Giants. He played 31 games and finished with a win-loss record of 14-8. The 30- year -old claimed 238 strikeouts in 178 innings pitched at a WHIP of 1.03. The numbers made the Yankees make the move.
Fans are still skeptical about the player’s fitness!
Fans are still not fully happy with the news. They want to wait for the last update and enjoy the moment. Though many find this news great too and expect the player to start soon for the Yanks. Here are a few of such reactions.

After 32 bullpens he will then progress to facing live hitters.
He should be ready by Christmas Eve…Yankee fans will have a present in their stocking after all.

Few are predicting his start would be in four to six weeks.
I’m saying 4-6 weeks b4 we see him start. Hopefully this prediction is wrong.
