Notably, Rodon pitched in five innings, wherein he allowed four runs in four hits at an ERA of 5.23. Though he claimed six strikeouts, it did not help him to the cause. The performance differed from the expectations, resulting in the Yankees eventually losing the game with a score of 7-2.
Given Rodon recorded 14 wins and 8 losses in his last season with 237 strikeouts at an ERA of 2.88, his latest performance was not even half of that. Fans hopeful of a change were unhappy with it and reflected those emotions in their reactions.
Dejection prevails as the Yankees lose on Rodon’s start
The entire season has been a struggle for the Pinstripes. And the same has continued even after they got their latest signing back on the mound. The loss left the fans dejected, who could not get over the lousy pitching and ridiculed it for a loss. Here are the following tweets that capture the sadness of the fans.

Well, Rodon and others must put in a better effort and keep the championship dream alive. It would be interesting to see whether they could do it or not in the upcoming games of the second-half of the season.
