Being one of the most respected and successful franchises in MLB, the New York Yankees do everything in their capacity to maintain their position in the sporting world. But a recent development in the esteemed Yankees organization has left their fans confused. Yes! Even though the Yanks re-signed Aaron Judge on a long-term deal, they are set to lose one of their most renowned personalities from YES Network.

Notably, the Yankees have their own regional sports network, YES Network, for the extensive coverage of the NYC-based teams. Until now, YES Network included the former Yankee, Carlos Beltran. But as per the recent report, Beltran is now leaving to work for the Yankees’ rival, New York Mets front office after spending a year working at YES Network.  

How are the New York Yankees fans reacting to the MLB Pundit leaving?

Beltran, a 9-time MLB All-Star, also played for the New York Yankees for three seasons before retiring in 2017. Shortly after receiving this news, the Yankees’ fan base showed mixed reactions to one of their analysts leaving to work for their rival.

Some of the fans wished him luck in his future endeavors. Whereas many already have a person in mind to replace Beltran and are eager to make that happen. Meanwhile, a few are simply showing what they felt after reading this news.

According to the Yankees fans, Cameron Maybin, Jeff Nelson, and Ken Singleton are the top prospects to replace Beltran as the network executive. Whereas one of them wanted Beltran to come back to the Bronx. But since it’s not happening, he wished him luck for the future.

Will Beltran be able to lead the Mets to the championship?

Having made his debut in 1998 for the Kansas City Royals, Beltran is a Puerto Rican former MLB player. The ex-slugger played for seven different teams throughout his career of two decades. He became an all-star player for nine teams while winning his first and only World Series Ring in his last year and second stint with the Houston Astros in 2017

Since then, he has worked as a special advisor to the Yankees’ General Manager, Brian Cashman, applied to be the Yanks’ manager, and also got selected as the Mets’ manager. But before he could manage a game, he and the Mets parted ways. This led him to the YES Network as a game analyst in January 2022. And given his experience with two top teams in the league, Beltran can play a crucial role in the Buck Showalter-led Mets.
