The New York Yankees are hopeful again. With the return of their star outfielder,?Aaron Judge, the Pinstripes may have a chance at the postseason. While fans have been optimistic about such a result, the team’s players lacked that faith. However, the star’s impactful return may finally see a turn in the franchise’s fortunes.

With the Yankees finally grabbing a win against the division-leading Baltimore Orioles on Saturday, the Bronx Bombers will also look to extend their positive play into the following week. And star shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa seemed to know just why that was happening.

Isiah Kiner-Falefa Talks About the Returning Aaron Judge

Interviewed just after the team’s thumping 8-3 win over the Orioles, Kiner-Falefa spoke about what Judge adds to the team.

Said Falefa, “It means everything. To us, to everyone in the locker room, he’s the best player in the world, and we feed off his energy.

He means so much to the organization. He’s the captain for a reason and we’re happy to have him back,” continued Kiner-Falefa.

Kiner-Falefa signed on with the Yankees in 2022. And in just a year with the Pinstripes, he has truly understood just how important Judge is to the franchise. With the Yankees faithfully pinning their hopes on the star, their pursuit for a post-season continues.

Aaron Judge was on the IL since early June after sustaining a toe injury against the LA Dodgers and his return could mark a turnaround for the New York franchise.

The 2022 Home Run King re-signed with the pinstripes for a bumper contract this off-season and the Yankees are a markedly different team with and without him.

Prior to his return in the series against the Orioles, the Yankees were 11 games above 0.500 when he was in the lineup while operating 5 games under 0.500 when he wasn’t with them. And while his return from injury put into doubt whether he could hit the ground running, Judge put all of his speculation to rest.

With the Yankees trailing 1-2 at the top of the third, the Captain made his way to the plate and dispatched Tyler Wells for 2 run dinger. Rounding the bases, Judge marked his 20th home run this season. Grabbing the Momentum, the Yankees won the contest 8-3 on the day, sending the series into the deciding third on Sunday.
