Alex Rodriguez is widely considered one of the greatest baseball players of all time. From his elite skills to his extensive accolades, there are few that were better than him. But one choice he made changed the entire narrative around his illustrious career. A-Rod’s admitted use of performance-enhancing drugs or PEDS made a lot of people discredit his achievements.
Furthermore, it has quite possibly destroyed his chances of getting into the Baseball Hall Of Fame. A-Rod missed out on the Hall in the recent 2023 ballot and that has brought up an intense debate.

In terms of accolades and achievements, A-Rod would make the Hall Of Fame in a heartbeat. But his admitted use of PEDs has kept him out so far and may prevent him from ever making it. A Twitter user called BaseballHistoryNut asked people if they thought that A-Rod deserves to be in the Hall of Fame.
Do you believe Alex Rodriguez should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame? #MLB

In the Tweet, they asked, “Do you believe Alex Rodriguez should be in the Baseball Hall of Fame? #MLB”. This question is one that most baseball fans have an opinion about.
Fans reacted to the Tweet, and there were a lot of mixed answers. Some fans said that A-Rod deserves a place in the Hall irrespective of the fact that he used PEDs. Others stated that Rodriguez does not belong and that his use of PEDs was disgraceful.
No and I’m a lifelong Yankee fan. I can’t stand the guy.

Let's not kid ourselves, all of these guys belong in the HoF. McGwire, Clemens, Bonds, Sosa, Manny. Coming out of the 80s the sport was floundering. Boring, games that took too long. MLB knew what was going but as long as tickets were bought, they were not in a rush to end it.

100% yes. Along with Bonds, McGwire and Clemens. You have Harold Baines in the HOF now so all bets are off. The Hall has become a joke with writers having no actual guidelines and making up their own rules as they go.

Yes. Performance enhancing substance use was widespread at that time. The competitive balance of the game was lost in favor of PED players and without protection from the league, players like Alex faced tremendous pressure to use PEDs-just as their counterparts were all doing.

Yes 100%. He was arguably the best all around player for over a decade. The roids don’t hit and catch the ball. Plus most of the guys he was playing were on roids so wasn’t he leveling the playing field?

He cheated, lied, cheated more, and used an elaborate scheme to evade failed drug tests. No doubt one of the worst cheaters in professional sports history. He has no business even sniffing the hall. Way worse than Bonds, Sosa, etc. because he continued to do it well after 2003.
