The Childish Bambino is back at it again. While the last eight games showed glimpses of his brilliance, it was still hidden behind his unusual slump. However, like always Juan Soto found a way, and what a way it was. With two home runs and four hits, the New York Yankees’ Dominican slugger stepped up on that plate with a vengeance. However, it was a return that was coming for a long time.

Juan Soto had been taking additional batting practices to work on his swing. Despite starting the season strongly, the slugger realized that he had lost some of that swagger along the way. “You’ve got to put in the work,” Soto said after the game per MLB.com. “I’ve been working on my swing, working with my hitting coaches, watching video.” However, when asked what his secret was, Soto remained coy.

“I can’t tell you that, I can’t give you my secret but definitely I was working on my swing,” Soto said. However, the star did reveal what he was focusing on – regaining his old form. “I was definitely working on my swing, trying to find that feeling again where I was hitting the ball in the first month, getting that feeling back and getting that confidence back.”

From going 4-for-31 to hitting 4 times in a single game, Soto’s training surely proved to be working. The 25-year-old star raised his batting average from .301 to .317. As for the Yankees – they’ve increased their stranglehold on the AL East and the American League with their 12th win in the last 14 games.

So now with a 32-15 record, the Bronx Bombers continue to look leagues apart from their rivals. Soto and Aaron Boone couldn’t help but praise the squad for its brilliance.

Juan Soto continues to connect with the New York Yankees amidst extension rumors

“It’s a really confident group right now,” Aaron Boone said about the team. “It is really good to see them doing it in all ways.” While the skipper was highly impressed by Soto’s performance, the Dominican star credited his teammates. Ever since stepping into the Yankees, the 25-year-old has maintained a strong leadership role. Despite his heroics, he has never failed to accommodate the entire squad in his accomplishments.

“It just tells you about how much damage we can do,” Soto said. The superstar then went on to talk about his relationship with the team. “I’m more than excited to keep doing that. This past month and a half has been unbelievable. The fan base, teammates, everything has been going in a good way,” Juan Soto said.

A good relationship, a winning combination, and some fun times. All of this sounds like Soto is having a grand time with the Yankees. But can this lead to an extension? Only time will tell.
