Derek Jeter is currently hosting the Derek Jeter Invitational. The much-revered event is taking place at the Baha Mar Resort for the second year running. Jeter has brought in some of the most talented artists and performers to headline the Invitational. The legendary shortstop and his sister Sharlee Jeter recently thanked a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award-winning rapper after his sensational performance at the event.

The guest list is packed with former athletes, and A-List celebrities and includes some acting talent as well. But this top rapper stole the show with one of his fastest verses, leaving Derek and Sharlee awestruck.

Derek Jeter and the Turn 2 Foundation are hosting his top fundraising event in the Bahamas. As a part of that event, there are several activities, including a Gala Night. Iconic rapper, Busta Rhymes, was the main attraction for that night, spitting his top-level verses. The legendary shortstop joined his sister Sharlee Jeter in thanking the American rapper for his thrilling performance. 

Sharlee shared an Instagram Story thanking the legendary rapper for supporting the Turn 2 Foundation. She also highlighted his impressive performance and shared a clip of him rapping his super-fast verse from ‘Look at Me Now’.

In the story, she said, “@bustarhymes is in a league of his own”, highlighting Busta Rhymes’ rapping skills. The legendary performer had the crowd singing along as he got into his zone and elevated the mood at the event.

Derek and Sharlee were both in awe of Busta Rhymes as he hyped the crowd. The Invitational event seems to have gotten off to a rousing start, with the Turn 2 Foundation sharing snippets from it regularly. In addition to the gala event, Derek also kicked off the chief attraction with a classy move.

The Yankees legend kicked off the Celebrity Golf Tournament in style

Derek Jeter recently kicked off the Derek Jeter Invitational’s celebrity golf tournament. The Yankees legend did so in style, taking the first swing of the tournament himself. Furthermore, he also shared a classy message inviting fans at home to follow the competition on Instagram. Jeter has hosted many celebrity golf tournaments before. It creates a fun, competitive environment while people contribute to a great cause.
