MLB great Derek Jeter, after dreaming for years and working hard than many, fulfilled his dream of playing for the New York Yankees when he made his Major League Baseball debut in 1995. Although Captain Clutch made a few mistakes at the start, evidently, he learned from them, and his career went to soaring heights. However, before Derek Jeter became a baseball legend and the face of modern baseball, he founded the Turn 2 Foundation. The aim of the foundation has remained to keep the youth away from drugs and alcohol to achieve healthy lifestyles and have a chance at a better future.
Jeter founded the foundation in his rookie year in 1996 and had his father, Dr. Sanderson Charles Jeter, help make it a success. However, since then, Derek Jeter’s younger sister Sharlee Jeter has taken upon the role of the foundation’s CEO. She has been working tirelessly to help as many students as possible to complete high school and attend college. The foundation organizes events every year to help raise money for the kids. And for one such event, the MLB legend Derek Jeter announced a gala featuring a 12 times Grammy nominated superstar.

The upcoming recent event organized by Turn 2 Foundation is the Derek Jeter invitational gala. The event is set to take place a day before Mother’s Day, on May 13. And even though more details of the event are yet to unwrap, Jeter has already announced that GRAMMY-nominated artist, record producer, and actor Busta Rhymes will be performing at the event.
