Bryce Harper proved to be a lucky charm for the Philadelphia Phillies lineup. Since he joined the team, he has revolutionized the Phillies. Though it took some time, he finally broke their long-carried playoff defeat curse in 2022. This journey is still going on, but this time with more grandeur. Amidst the uncertainty about his out-fielding career, the star player proved his worth as a DH. As the NLDS journey began, he once again proved his skills and his leadership attitude with his Home Run in Saturday’s game.

The Phillies faced the Braves in the NLDS opener, repeating last year’s outcome. Well, there’s still time to say if it will be the repetition of the previous year or not, but with Harper, the Phillies can at least hope for it. One of his teammates recently praised him, calling him a “showman.”

Saturday’s game was tough for both teams. Both started with scoreless innings until. After three scoreless innings, in the fourth, the Phillies Grand Slam hero appeared to rescue. Bryson Stott broke the tie-breaker for his team, and later in the sixth innings, Bryce Harper took the initiative to give the lead with his homer. With this, he pushed The Phillies towards the 3-0 victory against The Braves. Of course, other players also contributed to this victory, but without the homer, the game result would probably be different.

In the post-game interview, when Stott was asked about it, without a second thought, the infielder replied, “He’s a showman.” He further continued praising his teammate, saying, “So, he loves it, and anytime he’s up there, you…you know something crazy might happen and put a good swing on the slider.” Stott also made a great contribution to the game and to the team. A few days back against The Miami Marlins, this infielder hit a six-inning grand slam, earning a 7-1 victory for his team.

After the smashing opening, the star outfielder is now hoping to continue this journey on Monday as well, having a 2-0 lead on the Braves.

Harper is Hoping For More Victories Against The Braves

After the thrilling Saturday game, the Phillies DH got hopeful about the upcoming games. During the post-game interview, he expressed his intention not to have a 1-1 situation in the series. He expressed, “We need to get back again on Monday and get the win.” About the day’s victory, he mentioned, “It is huge. Any time you come into someone else’s park and win, it’s big. Great starting pitching, great bullpen, good defense, and timely hitting as well.”
