On Saturday, YouTube sensation Mr. Beast dropped a stellar video. Featuring famous athletes like Cristiano Ronaldo and Noah Lyles, it included MLB’s Bryce Harper too. The concept was simple—seeing how average humans stack up against world-class athletes and, in the process, win some serious cash. The players appeared for charitable donations, and well, the others could walk away with stacks of cash, $100k to be exact.

Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper had to square off against Big Justice. The TikTok sensation is famous for his viral “Costco Guys” video that he did with his dad. The stakes were high—a whopping $100,000. If Harper won, he would have given to charity, and if Justice won, that would be his money to keep. But the result was shocking—Justice won against the MLB star.

Bryce Harper’s class act shines through

To level out the playing field, Mr. Beast had Bryce Harper hit home runs in a real MLB standard-dimension stadium. Big Justice got to swing in a little league-sized fence. Obviously, for a good reason, most adults couldn’t hit one out in a ballpark, let alone an 11-year-old. Both competitors also got 10 swings to rack up their totals. Harper was stellar and crushed a ball out of the park, with MrBeast saying, “I think they need to make bigger stadiums for Bryce.” But well, Bryce was playing for fun, and hence, he wrapped things up with four home runs.

Next came Big Justice, armed with a metal bat, and he knocked two home runs in four swings. Tied 4-4 with two swings left, he then delivered a fifth home run, and that was it; he won the $100,000 prize. The Philadelphia Phillies player is always known for his sportsmanship, and it showed as he was celebrating with Big Justice on his victory—truly a class character off the field too, and his personality extends far beyond just sports.

Harper makes a comeback on social media

Bryce Harper has a rich, faith-driven relationship with his wife. Kayla, his wife, is someone whom he met back in 2010, and then they went on to build their life together. They both follow the Mormon faith; when they tied the knot, they opted for a temple marriage. It was approved by the Church of Latter-day Saints—an intimate and sacred ceremony. Later, Kayla mentioned, “Religion was obviously the most important part of our marriage. The temple marriage is very sacred.”

Recently, Harper returned to Instagram after months of hiatus just to wish his bellowed wife a happy birthday. His post read, “Happy 32nd day, Queen.” Sure, it was short, but the emotion behind it was wholesome. Now that the Philadelphia Phillies are looking to make free-agent moves, Harper can also lend his influence to help sway the new talents. The Boston Red Sox have turned to their stars for that! But given Harper’s charm, young players sure could turn to the Phillies.
