The ongoing MLB season has been an exciting affair so far. However, the same can not be said about the umpiring standard this season. The blunders and inconsistency have brought the umpires to fans’ scrutiny and criticism. The MLB world saw a similar situation day back when they doubted the crucial roles of the umpires in maintaining fair play. As it affected the players, the baseball community shared their support. But the same was not the story with Manny Machado, who complained about the umpiring.
Every player has to follow that to give equal opportunity to their rival. And the umpires must put them under check for it. But given the difference, sometimes few decisions attract disagreement. The same thing happened with Machado, who was on the receiving end of the decision. He expected some support for his claims, but fans were not in his favor. Reacting to his complaint, fans shared their rejections on social media.

The game of baseball comes with limited opportunities. Whether someone is a batter or a pitcher, everyone has to make the most of them to find success. Though it is not always possible to do it, when you lose it because of someone’s else mistake, it hurts.
Manny Machado felt the same when he was on the plate during Dodgers vs Padres game. Two strikes out, he was called out on the third, but he complained that Brusdar Graterol did not give him enough time for the stance. And when the umpire failed to address it, he lost his cool and argued, stating his case.
Jomboy Media shared a video post related to the case. It read, “Manny Machado livid after Brusdar Graterol doesn?t get a violation Machado thought Graterol didn?t wait long enough for him to engage.”

He ultimately ended the game with an average of 0.0 and an OPS of 0.250. The problems did not end for him as fans also questioned and criticized his conduct on the field.
Fans Disagree With Padres?s Star on the Claims of Forced Departure
Fans were unhappy with Machado’s casual approach during the play. Even after his eyes on the pitcher, he failed to act quickly. And fans taking this into the picture called out his complaint as non-maintainable even after a soft dismissal.

They shared their thoughts and criticism in the following tweets.
What is he complaining about? He was in box and looking at pitcher before he came set. Nothing remotely close to a violation here.

Meh, that looked okay to me.
BUT, given that you’re trying to eliminate or limit timeouts, I wouldn’t mind just having the umpire point at the pitcher before every pitch and granting the pitcher permission to come set or start the windup. https://t.co/nkO3dGxKLQ
