Speaking to Sports Illustrated about Jeter, McCann said, “The thing I?ll tell my grandkids about with Derek is how much I learned about the importance of routine.” Brian McCann added,?”He is fanatical about preparation. He does the same thing every day: his work in the cage, his ground balls, his BP. He never deviates.” ?

Jeter announced his entry on the MLB stage in 1995 and won the American League’s best rookie award in 1996. He made a total of 14 All-Star appearances and won five World Series championships.
