Even NFL stars can’t help but admire Los Angeles Angels’ Shohei Ohtani. The Japanese sensation is in a league of his own with two-way skills and has yet to impress opponents and teammates alike. His fan club has expanded to athletes from other sports as well. The recently retired footballer JJ Watt has long expressed admiration for Sho-time.

A few months back, the NFL star even commented on the iconic showdown between Ohtani and his teammate Mike Trout at the World Baseball Classic. Now, admiration for the pitcher has spread to another NFL legend, who is Watt’s brother-in-law.

Sho-time has practically taken over baseball with his impressive stats. He’s leading the league with home runs at 32 and breaking records left and right. Is it any wonder every kid idolizes him?

Watt recently shared a picture of a kid wearing Ohtani’s jersey number 17, a red Angels hat, and a baseball bat. He’s standing with his back to the camera on a green field, and Watt has tagged the profiles of Ohtani, his brother-in-law, Brian Cushing, and his wife, Megan Cushing. The Angels player then reshared the picture on his Instagram story as well.

Since Watt’s son, with his wife Kealia Ohai, was born in 2022, it can be assumed that the boy is one of the Cushings’ sons. Interestingly, Watt and Cushing are old Houston Texans teammates, and the family was hanging out together.
