The Bronx Bombers have been suffering through continuous bad times. They even lost the series against the Tampa Bay Rays. However, as the Free Agency approaches, teams have been preparing their list of players to keep or let go. On Tuesday, several sources and tweets confirmed that Brian Cashman had placed their fastest Center Field in Waiver.
New York Yankees outfielder Harrison Bader has been placed on waivers, sources told ESPN.
Bader has slumped severely as of late, but he would cost less than $1 million for the final month of the season and could be claimed by Thursday.

Fans have been blaming Brian Cashman for betrayal. That’s not entirely pointless, though. As the Trade Deadline approaches, the General Manager of the team has two options: to hunt for the playoffs or to get rid of players who are not performing up to the mark. Well, this decision shows he has gone with the second option.
A Twitter video shows that Bader was unaware of the team’s decision and saw the news on TV during lunch break, as others do. This is a general rule that teams don’t discuss these with players. So, that’s the same case with this 29-year-old center fielder. During an interview after their win against Detroit Tigers, Bader replied sarcastically, saying, “What does waivers mean?”

The Yankees have traded Harrison Bader in 2022 from the St. Louis Cardinals, but within one year, they have placed him on Waiver, making fans angry. However, the baseball star has taken it cheerfully, “I just know when I get the bat in my hands, and I get an opportunity to play center field, I know what I can do. So I’m just excited, and we’ll see where it goes.” His statement won’t relax fans’ anxiety about what will happen to him in the future. Will it affect his Free Agency?
Will Being Put on the Waiver List Affect Harrison Bader’s Free Agency?
When a player is put on the Waiver list means all the teams have the chance to claim him. This claiming process must be done within 48 hours. However, if unclaimed, the player will still be in contract with his previous team and appear for Free Agency like others.

This same will follow with Bader. He will appear for the Free Agency at the end of the season. Before offering a player, teams thoroughly analyze his past performance records. Bader performed well with the Yankees to get offers from other teams. What is commendable is Bader taking this entire situation positively without accusing anyone.
