In a Tweet, Talkin’ Yanks said, “Anthony Volpe will wear #11, per @JackCurryYES”. They further said, “Volpe will be the first Yankee to wear #11 since Brett Gardner, who wore it from 2008 to 2021”. This is a huge change, from 77 to 11, but no reason has been given for it.

The reactions to this news have been largely positive. Many fans are excited that his number is finally decided. Furthermore, there is a lot of excitement surrounding #11.
