The MLB off-season has been extremely busy with a number of teams getting deals done. Although the New York Yankees have the biggest deal this off-season due to the $360 million Aaron Judge contract, they haven’t done enough. The Yankees have not added much to their squad, going with almost the same team as last year.

In fact, the Yankees have lost players like Andrew Benintendi to free agency and failed to replace them. But they have made moves in the coaching department recently. Their newest coach has made his plan of action for Judge very clear.

The New York Yankees have named Brad Wilkerson their new assistant hitting coach. While speaking to Bryan Hoch of MLB, Wilkerson reportedly said that he wouldn’t mess around with Aaron Judge’s swing. Judge had his best batting year in 2022 and Wilkerson probably doesn’t want to negatively affect that. Hoch shared the comment made by Wilkerson via Tweet.

In the Tweet, Hoch said, “‘I don’t think I’m going to be messing with Aaron Judge too much.’ – Brad Wilkerson, the #Yankees’ new assistant hitting coach”. This is a testament to just how good Judge’s batting was last season. But there are still things that need to improve across the Yankee’s batting lineup. Judge has just signed a 9-year $360 million deal and will have heavy expectations placed on him.
