Just Days After Enjoying Hannah Davis’ Company, Derek Jeter Embraced Mike Tyson’s Newfound Career All by Himself in 2012

Derek Jeter was a rare sight in the public during his playing days. It was almost as if he only wished to get noticed on the baseball diamond. Nonetheless, he once made a public appearance with supermodel Hannah Davis in 2012. A few days later, Jeter had gone solo to watch the boxing legend Mike Tyson in action.

However, it wasn’t a game of boxing that Jeter watched Tyson partaking in. But it was rather a new venture that Tyson stepped into. It was the time when Tyson made his entry into Broadway. So Jeter once dropped in to catch one of the performances. 

Jeter and Tyson are polar opposite characters in terms of personalities. But their iconic imagery related to their respective sport connects them. Both of them had a larger-than-life presence within their sport during their active years. Moreover, they shared a mutual acquaintance with world-renowned filmmaker and avid sports lover, Spike Lee. 

Derek Jeter’s lonely viewing of some Mike Tyson theatricality 

Derek Jeter began his romantic journey with supermodel Hannah Davis in 2012. Jeter and Hannah had an incidental meeting through mutual friends at a New York restaurant during a social event. Their hearts clicked, and they started dating, mostly avoiding media attention. On one rare public outing, Derek got noticed having a joyous time with Hannah at the Double Seven lounge. 

Within a gap of a few days, Jeter went to watch Mike Tyson perform his biopic play. Directed by Spike Lee, ‘Mike Tyson: The Undisputed Truth’ opened to positive reviews on West 48th Street. Jeter walked into the hall and came out at the end of the play, as a solitary figure. He also skipped a V.I.P after-party at Hurley’s, organized in honor of Tyson.

Popular magician David Blaine was the prime entertainer at the party. Broadway producer Jimmy L. Nederlander talked to Page Six magazine, speaking about Tyson, saying, “He’s been at the theater every day at 2 p.m. He’s like a lean, mean, ready-to-go-on-stage machine.” Meanwhile, Lee refused to speak to the sources. Interestingly, Lee also later directed Jeter’s documentary titled ‘The Captain’. 

Derek Jeter and Hannah Davis: The perfect love story 

After dating for four years, Derek and Hannah married in 2016. Since then, they have given birth to three daughters. Spending their time as a happy family, they publicize their private life in limited measures.
