Tyson shared the picture on Twitter and acknowledged that he was spending time with Bonds. In the post, Tyson said, “Hanging out with the home run king @BarryBonds”.

The reason that a picture like this is so iconic is that it is very rare to have two legends, like Bonds and Tyson, in a single frame. For those unversed, Tyson is widely considered to be one of the greatest boxers of all time. He has been inducted into both the International Boxing Hall of Fame and the World Boxing Hall of Fame.

When did Bonds break the career home run record?

Bonds broke the career home run record of 755 home runs in 2007. He went past Hank Aaron, the previous record holder, on August 7th, 2007 when he hit his 756th career home run. This was Bonds’ last season in the MLB and he finished his career with 762 home runs, a record that stands to date.
