Fernando Tatis Jr., Xander Bogaerts, Juan Soto, and Manny Machado, among many other stars, are the few massive names in the Padres dugout. Despite the massive prowess of such names, San Diego Padres stands fourth in National League West with 26 losses and 21 wins, at 0.447. Moreover, they have also lost the last eight out of ten games.
Naturally, fans were upset. And they decided to display their discontent by donning paper bags over their heads at Petco Park.

Little did they know that this lighthearted act would soon take on a surprising twist, bringing an unexpected change of fortune for the Padres as they beat the Red Sox 7-0 but lost their fifth consecutive series 2-1.
Their second baseman Rougned Odor spoke about the loss after the game, and said, ?This is what we needed. This is who we are. From today, that?s how we?re going to do it.?
Padres’ skipper, Bob Melvin too, was happy, and said, ?It?s been such a struggle, and it?s been hard on everybody. When you travel, you always talk about a happy flight. There are a lot of things that add up to making us feel a heck of a lot better about winning this game.?
Fans on Twitter were quite divided. While some understood the emotions behind such a gesture, others believed it was quite unnecessary and avoidable.
