But the New York Mets and team owner Steve Cohen are going to make tickets more affordable for college students. The plan is to introduce a ticketing scheme priced at $15 for college-going students. This would allow them to afford games at a lower good price. SNY Mets shared the news via Twitter.

In a Tweet, they said, “The Mets announced today that they are working on a ticket plan that will allow college students to attend games at an affordable rate. The goal?” Furthermore, they quoted the Mets’ idea behind it, which is to “Really go after a group that has been priced out of Major League Baseball consistently.”

This is big news as Mets owner Cohen continues to show his love for baseball. Although the idea may be business motivated in the long run, it truly benefits a large number of people.

With the money that Steve Cohen has spent on the New York Mets, the postseason would be his real aim now. In 2022, the Mets won 101 games but were knocked out in the Wild Card Series. This year, the team will aim to maintain that regular season success while also making a deep postseason push.
