Derek Jeter is baseball’s freshest entrant to the social media space. While ‘The Captain’ has remained a media-shy personality during his playing career, he seems to have shifted post his retirement. The Hall of Famer shortstop announced his arrival on several platforms including Twitter and Instagram earlier this month and has engaged with the fanbase since. Keeping his followers regularly updated with his life since then, Jeter has fast become a heavily followed account.

And as the occasion of Father’s Day dawned on social media, Jeter was not to be left too far behind. He took to Instagram to post his gift from his three daughters. Possibly even to flaunt it. The grey hoodies had a clever caption and suited the dry and wry humor that Jeter embodies. Jeter has won several laurels while in the Bronx but the badge he wears with most honor, it seems like, is that of a father. Sporting a relaxed smile on his face, Jeter posed sporting the hoodie and a caption to capture all fans’ hearts.

Derek Jeter and his wife Hannah welcomed their third daughter into this world only last year. River Rose Jeter came into this world in December 2021. She joins elder sisters Bella Raine, 4, and Story Grey, 2 and a half, to complete the Jeter-ettes.
Derek Jeter may have a task on his hands to raise them all in the years ahead and like every challenge he has faced so far, he looks ready to take it on. Captioning the post, Jeter wrote, “Best gift of the day and so true. Happy Fathers Day!”
