The baseball world will not let Alex Rodriguez off the hook so easily. The New York Yankees legend and businessman is fulfilling his dreams one at a time. While they’re impressive, A-Rod’s social media updates are really what fans are living for. The obvious Gen X joke is begging to be made here. Maybe social media and a certain age group do not mix together.
For the most part, the internet isn’t a complex web that needs to be figured out for everyday use. But from the endless slang words and correct social media etiquette, maybe lessons need to exist for new users. Recently, A-Rod updated his fans about writing a book. And taking the matter into their own hands, the Cleveland Guardians mascot has taken a hilarious dig at the Yankees legend.

It was a good day when the former shortstop announced he was writing a book based on his learnings in business and baseball. Sitting in the sun, a blank A-Rod Corp sheet that simply said ‘Book’, and the house that looked like something out of Parasyte in the background. Who wouldn’t be intrigued by such a picture? But the cherry on top was that the page was propped up on Rodriguez’s seemingly naked legs. And in all honesty, they resembled hot dogs.
You ain’t the only one writing a book these days, @AROD!

Twitter, of course, went ballistic. Endless memes and comments later, even the official mascots of the MLB team Cleveland Guardians’ mascot decided to join in the fun. With an echo of A-Rod’s picture, their official Twitter posted a picture of a blank page titled ‘Book’ propped up on mustard pants. The stationery was officially from Mustard Corp., and the caption read, “Decided to start writing my book on lessons learned in business and Hot Dog Derby”.
Fans are splitting their sides with laughter
What’s better than creativity used for humor? In a world where witty comments and comical remarks rule the internet, Twitter exploded with everyone sharing their own thoughts. Poor A-Rod! He just wanted to share a major step in his life. As if enough memes and jokes about writer problems don’t exist in the world. And yet, these comments are too irresistible to miss.
