Freddie Freeman and the Atlanta Braves are a thing of the past now. But a relationship that lasted more than a decade will take time to get over. Recently, former Atlanta Braves star, Freddie Freeman, ran through all his emotions on his return to the Truist Park.

Notably, the LA Dodgers are playing a three-game series against the Braves. Being a Dodger, Freeman faced the Braves for the first time in his professional career. Having played for 12 years for the Braves, the Dodgers star could not control his emotion after facing his former team.

The 2021 World Series champ kept crying and thanked the Braves fans for their unconditional love towards him and his family. After winning the World Series with the Braves, Freeman became a free agent in the MLB market. Freeman signed a long-term deal with the LA Dodgers when his former team did not extend his contract,

The recent game against the Braves was a roller-coaster ride for Freddie Freeman. First, he registered a win against his former team, and then he became emotional while thanking his fans for their love and warmth over the years.

Freeman also remembered the last year’s World Series victory with the Braves. The Dodgers star said even though he does not play for the Braves, he still loves his fans. Freeman said all of this with tears in his eyes.

“Every sort of emotion! Last time I was on this field, there was a big stage in the middle of this field. Because we accomplished something so special… There is not enough word to describe everything that’s gone on in the last 12 years,” Freeman said.

“I am just so thrilled to be back and to see all of you guys again. I know I got a different uniform on but I still love each and every one of you guys. This was one of the hardest days of my life but one of the most amazing days of my life. So, bear with me as I cry a lot throughout this game, tomorrow’s game, and the next games.”

The Dodgers beat the Braves in the clash of the titans

LA Dodgers and Atlanta Braves are two of the strongest teams in the National League. They are the last two winners of the World Series title. Unlike the American League, the battle for the top spot is between four to five teams.
