The MLB has seen multiple legends throughout these decades. Responding to fans and giving them items to make meetings memorable is a typical thing that several players have done over the years. However, only a few cared for the people who were part of the game but not actively playing, more specifically, the Batboys. They have been standing in the dugouts with bats and equipment for the players throughout the game but never really recognized.

The 29-year-old Japanese star first time acknowledged their efforts and appreciated them after their game with the Phillies, making it an incident that none had ever witnessed. MLB insider Howard Eskin witnessed the moment and snapped a photo, which he then shared on Twitter, accompanied by an extensive praise to Sho-time.
Explaining the Angles star’s courtesy to others, Eskin wrote, “every at-bat he walks, he hands his body armor protection and his bat to the batboy, and thanks him! NEVER have seen that from any player ever.”
The Angels have been suffering in this season, with most of their legendary players injured, including Mike Trout. While Ohtani himself was severely injured and not yet completely healed, he batted for his team in Friday’s game.
Winning the last of the three-game series, Angeles secured a 10-8 win over Phillies. This is indeed a thing to celebrate, but what goes beyond this celebration is when a Twitter post about Ohtani went viral showing him patting and thanking a Batboy. Fans started cheering and praising their idol for this kind gesture he showed to the batboy.
However, even among these celebrations, it is still uncertain whether Sho-time’s UCL Tear will badly impact his upcoming Free Agency.

The Two-way Phenom recently experienced UCL tear. It was so severe that the team’s general manager announced he wouldn’t be able to pitch for the rest of the season, though he could swing the bat. It has made things a bit gloomy, as Ohtani is one of the biggest hyped players for the upcoming Free Agency. His performance throughout the season was great to attract hefty offers, but with this UCL tear, things have now become twisted.
As the free agency approaches, teams have been analyzing the performances of players. Of course, investing in players with below-the-standard performance won’t be a profit for them. So, they approach players with great potential, and the Los Angeles Angels’ 29-year-old star is an exceptional talent.
