Recently, the $426 million star of the LA Angels, Mike Trout, was named an All-Star for the 11th time in his career. With 17 home runs already this season, Trout has increased his career home run total to 367, and there’s still half a season left. Recognizing the talent of “The Millville Meteor,” the hobby community took advantage of Throwback Thursday to share an iconic video.
As seen in the video, a baseball fan casually sets aside one of Trout’s rare cards in it. The fan opens a pack of cards, discovers an autographed Orange Rookie Card, and remarks, “I can’t remember this dude. Mike Trout, the name seems familiar. Maybe I’ve seen him in a product.” If the fan still has the card, he might be glad to know it’s worth $626,899. But if not, he’ll probably regret setting it aside.

Meanwhile, the fan in the video also came out to reply. However, from the looks of it, he’s quite famous for collecting baseball cards. But only $400?
This one is early 2010. Only the diehard prospectors knew who he was. I was breaking that box for a customer named Bengi. He sold that card for $400 back then.
