The Braves have recently grabbed headlines across the MLB fraternity by signing up catcher Sean Murphy. Thus, the Braves and Murphy have agreed to a $78 million worth contract for a six-year term. Therefore, locking up the 28-year-old catcher till 2028 with a no-buyout $15 million club option for 2029. However, Murphy is not the only lucrative contract that the Braves have dished out.?
The Braves have also locked up Matt Olson till 2030, Ozzie Albies till 2027, and Austin Riley till 2033. Additionally, also locking up Michael Harris II till 2032, Ronald Acu?a Jr. till 2028, and Spencer Strider till 2029. Is Sean Murphy worth his contract value?
Murphy made his MLB debut with the Oakland Athletics as a catcher in 2019. He has always remained a decent contributor in the defense and offense alike. A Golden Glove Award recipient in 2021, Murphy concluded the latest MLB season smashing 18 home runs with 66 RBIs, averaging 0.250.?
