The New York Yankees are on fire. A juggernaut in MLB, the decades-old franchise is adding more accomplishments to an already long list. In addition to team wins, the players have been racking up individual accolades and this time, manager Aaron Boone is breaking records of his own.

In their recent series vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Yankees emerged victorious after losing the series opener. From Aaron Judge to Anthony Volpe, everyone gave it their all. It was a much-anticipated game between two major MLB teams and for Yankee fans, it was a satisfying end. In fact, the team and its manager just broke new records as their rookie gave a stellar performance.

A quarter of the season through, sometimes it’s hard to believe Volpe is a rookie. This may be his first rodeo with the big boys but he certainly doesn’t play like it. While the 22-year-old’s performance has faced some ups and downs, it’s only to expected of someone in their first season. What matters is that his team believes in him; Volpe has definitely given them reasons to.

Recently, the Kid helped the Yankees take the 4-1 victory with a late two-run homer in the left-field bleachers at Dodger Stadium. The Pinstripes may have already been heading toward a win but the long ball was still appreciated. Volpe may be relatively new here, but he’s proving he has what it takes to make it big.

“I think it does a lot, but at the end of the day, it’s a really, really good team we’re going up against,” Volpe said after the game. “So to take the series the way we did and just to play the way we did, it’s huge.” While his home run was exciting, there’s another team win to be counted.

Aaron Boone makes history with ejections as New York Yankees win

Baseball has seen a lot of manager ejections but Aaron Boone might be a bit more special. The 2023 season has seen him ejected more times than ever and it apparently made it into the history books. In only his 6th season of a managerial career, Boone has been ejected 30 times. He currently ranks fifth in the all-time manager ejections and most names above him have had more years in MLB.

But aside from this piece of news, Talkin’ Yanks gave some other fantastic stats for the Yankees. Their latest win against the Dodgers gave them a 10-9 all-time regular season record against them.
