A player like Shohei Ohtani has never been in free agency, with a $500 million contract being rumored. His elite play as a two-way superstar has caused many teams to join the free-agency race. But in recent weeks, trade talks have also popped up with certain franchises linked to him. Most recently, a controversial top-level agent showed up in Anaheim.

This occurred as the New York Yankees visited the Los Angeles Angels in an away series. In the series’ first game, the Bombers succumbed to Ohtani’s greatness. But now, this controversial agent takes center stage as the MLB trade deadline nears.

Shohei Ohtani continued his run of impeccable form as he led the Angels past the Yankees in their series opener. He picked up three hits in four at-bats, including a crucial home run.

In attendance was super-agent Scott Boras, the representative of some of MLB’s biggest stars. This is big news, with the trade deadline approximately two weeks away. Baseball reporter Julian Guilarte reported the update via Twitter. In a Tweet, he said, “Scott Boras in attendance at Anaheim.”

This appearance comes amidst heightening trade rumors and some top teams looking for talent. Boras will probably become very busy in the upcoming days as some of his clients may be involved in trades. One such player is Chicago Cubs star Cody Bellinger who has been linked to the Yankees.
