While A-Rod’s career may not stand as the most simple and stable, there is no doubt pertaining to the success he achieved inside the park, in the box. In 2016, with 696 career home runs, Alex Rodriguez announced his retirement from the sport. However, a few hours back, the three-time American League MVP smashed his 697th home run by roasting a popular Barstool Sports podcaster on Twitter, which in return displayed a witty sense of humor on the slugger’s part.
After uploading an Instagram story with a face mask, in a setting that seemingly looked like a sauna, Kevin Clancy from Barstool Sports, going by the Twitter handle – KFCBarstool, uploaded a tweet in an attempt to lampoon the $350 million shortstop-turned-business mogul. However, Clancy’s tweet did only little damage to A-Rod, in comparison to the slugger’s tweet which surprised the internet.

Clancy, who criticized A-Rod’s picture-clicking ability and poor-quality uploads on social media, said, “Nobody and I mean NOBODY, has ever failed social media & taking pictures, etc more than Arod.”

However, despite his retirement from baseball back in 2016, A-Rod exhibited that he still knew how to hit. And depicted that through his hilarious and stellar response to Clancy. A-Rod, after uploading two images, one of Clancy and the other of @feitelberg in a white and black face mask, said, “I don’t have any context but I’ve been told to reply with this picture @kfcbarstool”
Without any doubt, A-Rod’s response won the hearts of all his fans who adored his response to Clancy.

That being said, Kevin Clancy seemingly took his public roasting in stride after he retweeted A-Rod’s response.
Over the past few years, through his online presence and broadcasting appearances, Alex Rodriguez has constructed a fun-loving, humorous, and happy-go-lucky persona of himself, after his relatively intense demeanor on the field. Similarly, his response to Kevin Clancy lived up to that already well-crafted reputation.
