It was not a season of overspenders this season. Many teams who spent a lot could not make it to the playoffs, and those who did were unsuccessful in making it to the next stage. This also includes the San Diego Padres, a team with the third-highest spending, which had a disastrous season. They are now looking for changes for a better future. But it seems there is no end to their past following them, even their absence from the playoffs.
Notably, the 2023 playoffs are going on. To the many surprises, the Arizona Diamondbacks made it to the playoffs. Given that they spent less than most of the teams, they deserved a praise and raise. But the unbelievable ticket pricing, even lower than that of San Diego during the league stage, has brought questions into the spectrum. It has also left fans wondering who feels that it has to do with a lot of ongoing struggles for the inspirational D-Backs.

Struggling Arizona Diamondbacks Lowers the Pricing to Attract Fan Support at Home
The playoffs are challenging and require the best effort from all around to get success. The Arizona Diamondbacks did the same to make it to the NLCS, but are now struggling. They are two games down in the seven-game series and looking at the opposite of their best.
You can go to a NLCS game in Arizona for cheaper than a Padres regular season home game against the Dodgers.

As this happened after they blanked the championship favorites, the Los Angeles Dodgers, it brings many questions. It also includes their poor form in Philadelphia under the immense fan support for the home team.
Given their next matchup is in Arizona, the D-Backs have lowered ticket prices to have a jam-packed stadium. A post from Devine Sports Gospel also focussed on the same. It read, “You can go to a NLCS game in Arizona for cheaper than a Padres regular season home game against the Dodgers.”
The reason behind this is ticket pricing in San Diego, where few seats cost $100. Also, it’s a step decline from the pricing at Citizens Bank Park, ranging from $247 to $6,205. Shocking! Isn’t it? But it seems fans have some answers to it.
Fans Left Unimpressed Even After an Enormous Relief
It’s very unusual for a team not to raise the ticket prices even during the playoff game. But the Arizona fans have an explanation for this. They have shared reasons behind this in the following tweets. One fan said it is all due to the timing of the game.
2pm start is just ridiculous

Others added to the case.
Have you ever been to Arizona during the summer ? Hot AF even if stadium is cooled you still have navigate hell outside of the game. Go to game in San Diego at the bay ? No choice. I’ve lived both.

One said that there might be some other reasons for this.
Dbacks fans- the dbacks had a better year than the padres but the city doesn’t really support the team. Both can be true. Phoenix is a basketball city

However, few were not happy with the comparison and called the Padres a trash team
Gloating about overpaying to watch a trash team

Much prefer to go to the Diamondbacks. Did you know the poverty Padres have no rings?! And they're not in the playoffs?

It seems there are two sides to this update. But given it has come up after the Arizona Diamondbacks lost their second game 10-0, the move might boost fans to support their team at home. With many games still left, moral support can charge the snakes to return to the reckoning. Will this be the case? The world has to wait for an answer.
