A new trend is going on in the sports world. Almost every athlete is getting asked about the players they would put on their Mount Rushmore. And while each one of them is entitled to their own opinions, some athletes are getting praised for their choices, whereas others are getting heavily criticized for putting one athlete over the other. One such case is of the Major League Baseball franchise, Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder.

When the young athlete was asked to tell the names of the players he would put on his Mount Rushmore. He had two of the top players in the league, Mike Trout and Aaron Judge. That athlete is none other than the 22-year-old athlete from Washington, Corbin Carroll. Despite Carroll having Judge and Trout on his list, baseball fans are still bashing him for putting one over the other and also for not including a particular athlete on the list. 

Who did the Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder put on his Mount Rushmore?

Carroll made his debut for the Diamondbacks in August last year and performed well enough to be called up to the majors on the opening day. In March this year, the 22-year-old outfielder signed a $111 million contract extension for eight years. With an average of 0.286, Carroll has already hit 5 home runs this season, bringing his total to 9.

When the athlete got asked about his Rushmore list, he straight up said, “Alright, let’s go current players, Trout, Harper, Mookie, Judge.”

 If the athlete feels that these four should be on the list, it’s his choice. But baseball fans do not agree with him. And hence, Carroll’s answer is drawing flak from the fans on Twitter.

While many of the fans agree, the list is a good one, but only if one of the players is exchanged for someone else. For example, one of the users thinks that although the list is good, they would prefer having Shohei Ohtani or Ronald Acuna Jr. over Mookie Betts.
