Well, I am sure you’ve heard plenty of debates about who’s better—Shohei Ohtani or Aaron Judge— well, Mookie Betts has a refreshing take on this. We all know that both of the baseball stars are at their peak right now; Ohtani’s on track for a historic 50-50 season, something we’ve never seen before, while Judge is crushing it with three 50-HR seasons, joining an elite club of just five players. With both stars tearing up the field, the debate is hotter than ever. Now, the Dodger’s shortstop has shared his own piece of mind.
In a recent viral video shared by Bleacher Report X handle, Mookie Betts is seen talking all baseball with another shortstop, Gunnar Randal Henderson. In this video, they discuss who is better than whom, but their take is different from others. For example, you must remember the recent debate on the same between Chris Ross and A. Smith, where they were seen leaning toward one. This, the discussion between the two shortstops, looked more than opinion; it felt like a suggestion.

The video starts with Betts, saying that he gets why people are asking whose season is better, Ohtani or Judge, but to him, “it’s not a fair question.” He was confident that both could exist in the same space, and it was not necessary to pick one side. “I don’t think one has to be better than the other one; I think we should appreciate greatness,” Derek said. So, while everyone is out there debating, Betts is all about celebrating and soaking both players’ greatness. We all should learn that, though.

He also emphasized why it’s so important to appreciate this moment, as it’s a rare treat, “Don’t know if we will ever see again,” the shortstop said. While his partner in the conversation seemed to be equally acknowledging all of this, Gunnar said, “It’s unreal, both of them.” But are Ohtani and Judge the only baseball sensations that seem to be unreal right now? Well, according to Mookie, “It’s all unreal. Shohei judge Bobby, you (garner) have talent that is unreal in baseball. Uff! What a magical thing to say, and with the coming of young talents the future of MLB looks promising, too!

He also went ahead and said how cool. “He taught his dog to pitch, like WHATT! . Well, fun fact: Ohtani revealed that his dog had been practicing for his first pitch for three weeks now. Talk about dedication! Betts was astonished by how diligently Decoy was listening to Ohtani, to which he said, “It makes sense; playing with Shohei is like the coolest thing ever.” the 31-year-old also admitted that, now that he bats right after Ohtani, he’s thrilled to watch him in action.
